 Some parts of the country are currently dealing with cicadas. Personally (and maybe it’s just me), but I think cicadas + cupcakes = gross. Which is why I prefer fake insects on my cupcakes. The best part about these little critters (besides not being real) is that after you’ve devoured the cupcake you still have a magical glow in the dark ring left to enjoy once the sun goes down or the lights go out.
